DriverMate v21.0.0 requires the tablet to run on Android OS 6.0 or above.

v21.1.1

This version requires the XGatew XPDP Secure channel.

DriverMate can use XGate5 as a communication transport for all messages between the MdtServer and the mobile application. This requires an MdtServer endpoint that supports the XGate5 protocol, specifically the XGate5 transmitter. All over the air communications between the mobile app and XGate are encrypted.

DriverMate Mobile Requirements

  • Android OS 6.0 and higher - Recommended 9.0 and higher. Android OS versions earlier than 9.0 do not support security updates and fixes.
  • DriverMate 21.1.1 or higher
  • Certificate Thumbprint (from the XGate Secure channel) added to the DriverMate.xml file.

Ranger Mobility Requirements

  • Ranger Mobility 21.0.0 or higher
  • Certificate Thumbprint (from the XGate Secure channel) added to the Mobility.xml file.
  • WEC2013 OS - This requires Ranger4 hardware.
    • CE6 is not longer supported by Microsoft, end of life was 2018.
    • CE6 Crypto API is deprecated.
    • Text To Speech for Map Navigation - Not currently supported on RangerWEC.
XGate Requirements
  • XGate 5.6 or higher
  • XGate5 XPDP Secure channel - This requires a different port than the standard XPDP channel, which may require firewall changes.
  • SSL certificate - A valid SSL certificate must be installed on the XGate server and configured in the XGate Secure channel.
