PASS-IPA System Properties for Navitia

Specific system properties affect how users access and operate PASS-IPA using Navitia.

Table 1. Description of PASS-IPA System Properties used with Navitia
System Property Description
IPA > Apply Client FareType Specifies the fare type that replaces client fares for bookings when specified by the Apply Fixed Route Fare property.

Fare types are created as ancillary data (File > Ancillary Data > Para > Pricing > Fare Types). Only fare types that use the Interface calculation type (in the Calc Type field) are available.

IPA > Apply Companion FareType Specifies the fare type that replaces companion fares for bookings when specified by the Apply Fixed Route Fare property.

Fare types are created as ancillary data (File > Ancillary Data > Para > Pricing > Fare Types). Only fare types that use the Interface calculation type (in the Calc Type field) are available.

IPA > Apply Fixed Route Fare Specifies when fixed route fare types and amounts are applied to bookings: Do Not Apply, Apply When Greater, Apply When Lesser, Always Apply.

The fixed route fare types and amounts applied are specified by the Apply Client Fare Type and Apply Companion Fare Type properties.

If the ATIS trip planning system is used, the fare amount applied is a full or reduced fare, as specified by the ATIS Client Fare Amount and ATIS Companion Fare Amount properties.

IPA > Apply Fixed Route Ride Time Specifies the conditions under which fixed route ride times are applied to booking activity records:
Do Not Apply
The established maximum on-board time is used for paratransit trips. See the PASS System Administrator and User Guide for more information about Max OBT.
Apply When Greater
Use the Ride Time Multiple and Ride Time Extra property values when the ride time will be longer than the fixed route alternative.
Apply When Lesser
Use the Ride Time Multiple and Ride Time Extra property values when the ride time will be shorter than the fixed route alternative.
Always Apply
Always applies the Ride Time Multiple and Ride Time Extra property values.

The on-board time calculation takes into account the transit time plus walking time. (Walking time is calculated using the walking speed defined under CTM Data > Default Walking Speed and the walking distance defined in the itinerary planner.)

IPA > Batch Name Set a name by which you can store the itinerary planning solutions as trips are booked, and then retrieve them in the Trip Plan Analyzer Wizard.
IPA > Default Solution Set Specifies the default solution set.

Typically, the default solution set should be the same as the Solution Set PU.

IPA > Extra TPA Columns Define any additional field information for the booking records to be copied to the Trip Plan Analyzer Wizard to facilitate analysis.

Type field names (from the Booking table) as comma-delimited values. For example, BookingId,LDate,ClientId.

Trapeze recommends including BookingId so that fixed route solutions can be related to specific paratransit trips during analysis.

Exit and reopen Trapeze applications to see the updated grid on the Compare tab in the Trip Plan Analyzer Wizard.

IPA > Itinerary Planner Timeout Specifies a timeout period for the itinerary planner.

If the planner does not report any solutions within this period, it reports that no solutions are found.

IPA > Ride Time Extra Specifies the value in minutes that is added to the Max OBT after the Multiple for Ride Time value is applied.

If only Ride Time Extra should be used, set the value for Ride Time Multiple to 1.

IPA > Ride Time Multiple Based on how Apply Fixed Route Ride Time is set, the maximum OBT for the paratransit ride may equal this value times the fixed route ride time returned by the Itinerary Planner.

To set the paratransit ride time to a fixed number of minutes greater than the fixed route travel time (including walk time), set the value for Ride Time Multiple to 1.
