Runs Commands

The following table outlines all the commands available in Runs.

You can access most of these commands by clicking the appropriate button in the screen toolbar, from the Runs menu, or by right-clicking in the screen.

Close Partially open door. Closes Runs.
Find Binoculars. Opens the Find Runs dialog box.
First Vertical line with a left-facing arrowhead. Selects the first record on the grid for either daily or master runs.
Previous Left-facing arrowhead. Selects the previous record highlighted in the grid.
Next Right-facing arrowhead. Selects the next record in the grid.
Last Right-facing arrowhead with a vertical line. Selects the last record in the grid.
Add New Piece of paper with a folded top right corner and a star on the left-hand corner. Add a new master or daily run.
Save Diskette. Saves new or edited information for a run record.
Cancel Diskette with a red X crossed over it. Cancels any add new or edit activity you have begun.
Delete A stylistic X. Deletes a run record permanently from the database.
Assign Driver Teal-colored bus. Shows the Select Employee dialog box.

You can reassign a driver to a run in the daily run list and also register sign-on/sign-off times for the driver.

Calendar Open book with the number 1 on the left page and the number 2 on the right page. When adding or editing a master run, click Calendar to display the Date Intervals dialog box. This feature allows you to determine the days when the run is to be active.
Run Activation Wizard Hand holding a wand. Activates a new or edited master run to template and live schedules.
Print Printer. Create a text file of information from the Runs grid that you can print.
Customize Grid Four lines and three check marks. Shows the Grid Columns Manager, which allows you to show, hide, or rearrange columns in Runs tab.
Run Change Wizard Front of bus. Shows the Run Change Wizard, which allows you to change selected runs.
Clone Runs Two yellow squares with wheels. Creates one or more runs (master or daily) based on an existing run.
Adjust Run From/To Times Key and lock on a grid. Adjusts the from and to times for a daily run according to the actual run length, minimum and maximum run length requirements.
Lock Auto Break Lock overlaid with a clock. Locks in auto-breaks after scheduling is completed to prevent the Schedule Server from making any additional changes after the operator is given the manifest. Select a live (and loaded) schedule, highlight one or more runs, and then click this button.
Freeze/Unfreeze Right-click menu Allows you to freeze a non-frozen run and unfreeze a frozen run, respectively.

Planning

Mode/Non-Planning Mode

Right-click menu Place a run in Planning Mode and remove a run from Planning Mode, respectively.
Mirror Right-click menu (For Inbound runs only) Creates a mirror of the selected run.

The new run contains all of the selected run’s itinerary events in reverse order (that is, it creates an Outbound run). If a run has a mirror run, that run’s Id is shown in the Mirror Run column in the Runs grid.
