Defining Solution Sets

Solution sets can contain multiple rows of solutions, which are associated with parameter sets.

Before you begin

Open the Trapeze4 Workstation.

About this task

PASS-IPA typically uses only one solution set.

Procedure

  1. Click File > Ancillary Data > General > Trip Planning Solutions.
    The Trip Planning Solutions dialog box appears.
  2. In the Name column, type a name for the solution set you are defining.
  3. In the Product list, click the product:
    OptionDescription
    ATIS Used with ATIS.
    Note: This functionality is only available if you have Trapeze4 on your main computer screen. If the application is used on a secondary computer screen, move the dialog box to the main computer screen to see the available options.
  4. Click the appropriate parameter set in the Parameter Set list.
    For example, the default parameter set for requested pick-up trips.
  5. Click Save.
    The solution set is listed in Trip Planning Solutions ancillary data.

  6. Click Close.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Click Task > Personal Trip Planning.
    • Click the Personal Trip Planning button:
      A person getting on a bus.
    Personal Trip Planning appears.
  8. Click the Solutions tab.
  9. In the Solution Set list, click the solution sets for requested pick-up trips and requested drop-off trips, if required.

  10. Click Tools > System Properties.
    The Properties dialog box appears.
  11. On the Profile tab, click IPA.
    More properties appear.

  12. Confirm the solution parameter set is available in Trapeze4 ancillary data:
    1. Click File > Ancillary Data > General > Solution Parameter Sets.
      The Trip Planning Solution Parameter Sets Ancillary Data dialog box appears.
    2. Confirm the Name, Product, and Parameter information for the listed parameter sets.
    3. Click OK.
  13. Click OK.
