About Parameter Levels

The Parameters screen allows you to load parameter sets for each parameter level: Sign-up Period, Context, and Scenario.

The following table explains the columns in the table:

Parameter Level Description
Sign-up Period

When selected, the values that apply globally are shown.

This is not required to be set. It refers to the set of rules assigned as the default and applies to all service types.
Context

When selected, the values of the parameters applied to the settings set in the Select Scenario dialog are shown, for example, division or service group.

This is not required to be set, however, loading a default set of rules into this column is helpful when you:
  • Configure a new scenario in any service − The system uses the Context values to fill in the Scenario column.
  • Compare parameters − For example, compare the Scenario to the Context.

Load the set of rules from a saved scenario or a parameter file for each service group.

Scenario

When selected, the values that apply to the selected scenario are shown.

The Scenario values can be filled in by either creating a New Scenario (copies from the Context), loading from a saved file, or importing from another scenario. The values can then be altered to achieve your desired results.

Only the values in the Scenario level are used in runcutting.
