Shifting Itinerary Legs

An itinerary leg refers to a section of an itinerary. Shifting itinerary legs is useful for giving alternative times to callers and changing the layover time without having to generate another itinerary.

Shift an itinerary leg to view the previous or later trip times without having to change the time of travel for the original trip.

Shifting one leg automatically shifts all legs that logistically must be shifted along with the first. Therefore, if there are two itinerary legs and you shift the first, the second automatically shifts. If there are two legs and you shift the second leg, only the second leg is shifted. In this last scenario, only the layover or the time waiting to transfer between the two legs increases or decreases.

  1. On the lower pane of the Details tab, highlight the itinerary leg you want to shift.
  2. Perform one of the following steps:

To view an earlier leg time, click the Previous Trip button:

To view a later leg time, click the Next Trip button:

  3. Repeat shifting to earlier or later trip times until you find the itinerary leg time you want.

A red asterisk appears next to your itinerary in the top half of the Details tab, indicating that the time has shifted.
