Defining Provider Parameter Values

Using Sched Multi Parameters in ancillary data, you can set parameters that override PASS system property values.

Before you begin

The Trapeze4 Workstation must be open.

About this task

Provider parameter values include options such as average speeds, early and late pick-up and drop-off tolerances, and maximum on-board time. For example, if some providers for your agency operate in rural areas and others operate in urban areas, you can set different average speeds for those providers.

To determine which parameters can use which value types, see Parameters and Applicable Values.

For more information about PASS system properties, see the PASS System Administrator and User Guide.

Procedure

  1. Click File > Ancillary Data > Para > Service > Sched Multi Parameters.
The Sched Multi Parameters dialog box appears.
  2. In the list in the Param Name field, click the parameter for which to specify a value.
  3. In the Param Order field, type the order number for the specified parameter.
This is the order in which definitions are applied in Schedule Server. For example, if two AverageSpeed parameters are defined, they must have different Param Order values. Schedule Server will look at all of the
  4. In the Param Val As String field, enter the parameter setting for the provider, date, or funding source.
The field value defaults to the current system parameter setting.
The value typed overrides the default value and relates to the defined Param Name:

  6. Do one of the following:
    • To apply the parameter value to a specific provider, click the provider in the Provider ID list.
    • To apply the parameter value to a specific funding source, click a funding source in the Funding Source ID list.
    • To apply the parameter value to a specific paraservice, click a paraservice in the ParaService ID list.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Save.
