  1. In your PASS-MON or FLEX-MON folder, rename the Bin folder to BinMDT-old.
  2. Create a new BinMDT folder.
  3. Unzip the install files into the new BinMDT folder.
  4. Run DBEdit with BinMDT/TpMdtGP.dbd. Refer to the PASS System Administrator and User Guide for more information on using DbEdit.
If installing PASS-MON with hardware from Siemens VDO Automotive AG, use TpMdtRA.dbd. Please consult your Trapeze representative for more information.
  5. Run the following query: InsertMdtTrackerCodes.sql
If errors occur, run queries such as the following examples: UpdateMdtMsgLog

Mdt2_DropIdxMdtManifestByOrder (for MDTServer 2 only) Contact your Trapeze representative for more information.

  6. In the Trapeze4 Workstation, click Tools > System Properties.
    The Properties dialog box appears.
  7. On the Profile tab, select Pass Scheduling.
  8. Change the following properties:

EvOrder Max Value: Set to 99,999,999 if not performed before the upgrade.

  11. Configure the MDT Server:
    1. Check Configuration settings to point to the correct ODBC source.
    2. Check and set MDT Interface Settings.
    3. Check and set Server properties. If you are upgrading, check that they are the same as before.

    5. (If using XML) Check or set new speed and odometer formats in the MDT Interface properties for XML. The Speed format should be set to miles per second (M/S) and the Odometer format to meters; however, these may vary depending on your mobile computer hardware vendor.
  12. Set up the login for the MDT Server.
  13. (For new installations of PASS-MON and FLEX-MON) When creating the ancillary data for Pass Types, Space Types, and Fare Types, make sure to set the Code field to work with your mobile computer hardware.
