Key Property Settings for Dispatching Mobile Computers

A summary of the key properties that must be set in order for you to apply dispatching features using the Monitor screen with mobile computers.

Item Path Setting
Turning on NS's to work with MDTs

Click Tools > System Properties > PASS Scheduling.

Incidents: Create for no-shows

Set this to Yes.

Turning on reordered events to work with MDTs

Click Tools > System Properties > PASS Scheduling.

Incidents: Create for re-ordered

Set this to Yes.

Change the EvOrder: Max Value

Click Tools > System Properties > PASS Scheduling.

EvOrder: Max Value

Make this 99,999,999.

Enabling Sound (Optional) Click Tools > System Properties > Server > MDT Center > Msg Type Sound. Configure the sounds for different messages as desired.

You can request sound files from your Trapeze representative.

To apply the settings, you must restart Schedule Server.

If you are still dispatching some runs using the Dispatch screen, you will now see no-shows and re-ordered incidents if these settings were previously set to No.

Enabling the MDT functions to users Open Security Administrator.
In Security Administrator, turn on the following properties for user groups that require access:
  • MDT Center
  • MDT Center Log On/Off Vehicle
  • Send Message
  • Monitor
For the following properties, log in to the Trapeze4 Workstation as one of the dispatchers.

As other users who need access to MDT functions become trained in PASS-MON, copy these property settings to their computers. Alternatively, log in as each user on their computers to make the setting changes.

Enabling the MDT Center

Click File > Properties, then click the Workstation tab.

Receive MDT Messages = Yes
Enabling MDT functionality

Open the Dispatch screen.

Click File > Properties, then click the Dispatch tab.

  • Manually Perform Trip Remove from MDC = Yes
  • Send PU and DO = Yes
  • MDT Send Tolerance for Due Time = -1h00*

Enabling MDT functionality - other

Click File > Properties, then click the Tools tab. Click MDT Center.

  • Popup Mode is On upon Start = Yes
  • Support Emergency Alarm Dialog = Yes

These should already be enabled by default.

Click File > Properties, then click the Tools tab. Click MDT Center.

Enable Sound = Yes
