Re-enabling Security

After setting up an administrative user in PASS Real Time Views, re-enable system security.

About this task

If security has been disabled, it should be re-enabled as quickly as possible.
Important: While security is disabled, authentication is not required for any system user.

Procedure

  1. In the Service Shell window, click File > Trace Options.
    The Trace Options dialog box appears.
  2. On the Switches tab, expand the Core folder and the Security folder.
    Security options appear.
    The Trace Options dialog box opened to the Switches tab with the Security folder highlighted.
  3. Click Authenticate.
  4. In the Boolean Switch frame, click ON.
  5. Click Check Permissions.
  6. In the Boolean Switch frame, click ON.
  7. Click OK.
