FastCost Switches and Descriptions
The following switches are found in the Trace Options dialog box in the Schedule Server application expanding the folder.
| Switch | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Depth Fail Limit | Enter a number to define the Depth Fail Limit, which will stop re-costing if re-costing has failed—in a row, more times than the Depth Fail Limit. Set to 0 for no limit. | OFF |
| Depth Fail Rule | If Depth Fail Rule is 0 then Depth Fail Limit only applies after at least 1 re-costed solution is found. If 1 then Depth Fail Limit applies even when no valid recosted solutions are found. | OFF |
| Distance Formula | 0=Fast Triangulation (default), 1=DCES Relaxed Cache, 2=DCES Zonal Cache | OFF |
| Return Raw Results | Specifies whether Fast Costing results are listed in the trace log without
showing re-costed results. Used for analysis of Fast Costing results. Specify one of
the following:
|
OFF |
| Speed Factor | The factor by which the average speed is multiplied when calculating travel times using Fast Costing. It is desirable for Fast Costing not to underestimate the speed since valid solutions might be missed. The value is the factor times 100, where 100 means a factor of 1, and 120 means a factor of 1.2. Values in the range of 100 to 120 are recommended. | 100 |
| Trace Statistics | Specifies whether statistical information about Fast Costing efficiency is traced
to the log during batch scheduling and single inserts.
To display additional trace settings, set the switch to 3 or 4. |
OFF |
| Use as Distance Method | Specifies whether all final distance and travel times are calculated using the
same formula that is used in Fast Costing. Useful only for analysis of Fast Costing
performance. Specify one of the following:
|
OFF |
