About Security Manager
Providers are the operators of paratransit service. They manage the vehicles and supply the drivers.
At your transit site, in addition to your own drivers and equipment, you may use providers from external sources. When more than one agency shares a Trapeze database, you can limit user access to provider data by specifying which screens and functionality are available to individual users. With provider security, users see only the runs, drivers, vehicles, and trips assigned to their providers.
Before setting up provider security, Providers ancillary data must be created in the Trapeze4 Workstation. You can then associate a specific user group with each provider, so that only user group members can access the defined provider's data. User groups are created in the Trapeze6 Client shell, as are users. Users inherit the permissions of the user groups to which they belong.
- Enables users to view other providers’ trips, but not edit them.
- Enables users to view, but not edit, other providers’ transfer trips if they own at least part of the transfer trip.
- Enables users to see trips belonging to other providers when booking a new trip. This option is useful for preventing double bookings.
- Prevents users from viewing private client information in the Client/Booking Info dialog box. Private information includes the client ID, gender, date of birth, social security or identification number, ADA eligibility, eligibility and suspension dates, disability type, account balance, and phone number.
