When cleared, the comments field doesn't show on the Absence History page, in Absence details, and on Absence event cards. Note that this applies to absences (which includes absence requests that have been granted). Absence request comments aren't affected by this property.

Included years are defined as Active in the Accrual Type's Accrual Calendar in the Client Shell.

Bid. Work has been assigned but the day has not been activated. Most work is assigned through the bidding process. Currently, Extraboard work is always listed as Bid. This is expected to be addressed in a future version of Employee Self-Service.

Activated. Work has been confirmed as part of the day activation process. The system takes into account things like absences and skill requirements when the day is activated. Client Shell users then address any logged issues and update scheduling as needed.

Published. Work has been confirmed as part of the publish assignments process. Typically, days are published after extraboard and volunteer employees have been assigned. The OPS > Self-Service > Work Assignments > Show Work When property determines at what point work is made available to employees in the Calendar.

Now, a message indicating there are no available records appears.

A Submitted status indicates that the extra pay request was automatically granted and does not require approval.

Comments shown here may be added by employees in ESS or by Client Shell users updating employee volunteer information.

Typically, multiple effective dates options are available if there has been an import into an existing sign-up period.

Now, a full day absence request can be updated to a partial day absence request unless its absence type is defined as Full Day Only.

• on the Calendar page, the Employee Comments label used for absences was updated to Comments. Comments may be made by employees or by other transit agency personnel.

To use an absence type not in this list, delete the absence request and create a new one.

Additionally, the error message Absence requests cannot be made for times after 0:00 am on the next day was updated to Absence requests cannot be made for times after 12:00 AM on the next day.

Previously, Extraboard assignments always displayed based on bid data and Volunteer assignments always displayed based on volunteer status, regardless of the day's activation or publication state. The property now controls when these assignments appear based on the following options:

• No Restriction — All Extraboard and Volunteer assignments are shown regardless of the day's status.
• Day is Activated — Bid assignments are shown for unactivated days; activated data is used once the day is activated.
• Day is Published — Bid assignments are shown until the day is published; published data is used after publication.
• Day is Activated (Non-bid Assignments Shown Only When Published) — Bid assignments are shown for activated days; non-bid assignments are shown only after the day is published.
• Always Show Bid Assignments but Show Non-bid Assignments Only When Published — Bid assignments are always shown (using activated data when available); non-bid assignments are shown only after the day is published.

This prevents scenarios where employees see both bid and activated assignments for the same day, or where employees removed from a list after activation still saw work on the Calendar.

The sort order of the posting report is determined by the first column in the Display Column List property (Sequence, Badge #, or Employee). If the first column isn't one of these, the report sorts by Badge # by default. On smaller screens, cards follow the same sort order as on larger screens, but Sequence isn't shown.
