Citrix XenApp Requirements

The following requirements are needed on the Citrix server:

Note: *Microsoft Remote Desktop Services licensing and configuration is required regardless of which remote environment user interface (Microsoft or Citrix) will be used. If Microsoft RDS will be providing the remote environment user interface, Citrix XenApp licensing is not necessary.
Note: If a multi-server farm will be used to provide support for remote desktop, it is recommended that the administrative services of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services or Citrix XenApp be located on a separate server from those servicing remote user sessions.
