About the Client Shell Configuration
The Client Shell uses the same concept of profiles as the Service Shell in order to store its configuration.
The Client Shell profile contains all the information that the shell needs in order to establish a connection with the Service Shell. Once the connection is established, the rest of the configuration information is obtained from the server. The profile name identifies the product.
- Server Host Name
- Server Port
If authentication is turned on for the Service Shell, the Login and Password are also required. Login Name and Password are used by Trapeze6 security implementation to verify user credentials. These two should not be confused with the ones that are stored as a part of the Service Shell configuration. The Service Shell keeps Login and Password to the ODBC data source in order to execute database calls.
The Client Shell profile is stored in the registry under the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trapeze\Profiles\<ProfileName>\CliShell
