About Trip Building
Trip building refers to the process of building schedules that show the times that vehicles are expected to arrive or depart from identified locations along a route. It is performed after determining the routes, node and stop patterns.
In general, trip building involves:
- Creating run time intervals
- Setting run times
- Developing trips and stop trips
Before opening the Trip Building screen, select the appropriate
Sign-up Period, Line,
Service, Service Group, and
Exception Combo in the Set Mode dialog
box.
Note: FX requires the Trip Building service, which is run in the Service Shell. If it is
not running, when you open the Trip Building screen, a message appears
advising you to contact your IT department. If you are not able to connect to the Service
Shell, contact your IT department or system administrator to check your Trapeze service on
your local host server.
