About Setting Up COM

You can set up COM on any computer that can communicate with the PASS Schedule Server using the HTTP protocol.

After PASS is installed at your transit site, you can set up COM. You should also ensure that your data source is consistent with the database schema used by COM.

Start the Service Shell, set up an administrative user (if one doesn't already exist), configure menus, and set up automatic data refreshing, view rotation, and service day start and end times.

You can access COM using a browser on any computer that can access the server where the Real Time Views service is running.
