Monitor properties affect the

To set properties that affect the Monitor screen, click File > Properties with the Monitor screen open. The Properties dialog box opens.

Some properties found on the Monitor Screen tab control the appearance of labels, lines, text, filling, and background of map elements. Although they apply to different parts of the Monitor, they work in the same way.

Label Back Color Background color for labels that appear on the map.
Label Back Mode Background color mode (for example, opaque) for labels that appear on the map.
Label Text Color Text color for labels that appear on the map.
Label Text Size Text size for labels that appear on the map.
Line Color Color of the line.
Line Pixel Width Width of the line.
Line Style (Effect When Width is 1) Appearance of the line:
  • Solid
  • Dash
  • Dot
  • DashDot
Point Filling Color Color of the point.
Point Filling Style Color with which the point is filled in.
Point Frame Color Color of the frame.
Point Frame Pen Style (Effect when Width is 1) Appearance of the frame:
  • Solid
  • Dash
  • Dot
  • DashDot
Point Frame Pixel Width Width of the point frame.
Point Pixel Radius, Point Style Appearance of the point:
  • Circle
  • Diamond
  • Square
  • + (plus sign)
  • X (x mark)

Automatic Date Switching If set to Yes, the Monitor screen automatically changes the date to the current date if the user is still working as the day changes.

This feature takes into account the End of Day property so, if that is set to 25:00h (1:00 A.M.), the date does not change to the next day until that time.

This feature is also useful for Monitors set up to display runs with real-time vehicles updating continuously.

Avl Report Interval Abnormal Color Set to indicate vehicles with no AVL report for a specified number of minutes.
Avl Report Interval Abnormal Threshold (min) Set the threshold value, in minutes, for the preceding property.
Grid BackColor: AVL Reports Set the background color for the AVL information that appears in the Itinerary/AVL grid.
Grid BackColor: Events Set the background color for the event records that appear in the Itinerary/AVL grid.

Highlighted Grid > For AVL Report

The report has the following properties:
  • Point Filling Color
  • Point Filling Color
  • Point Filling Style
  • Point Frame Color
  • Point Frame Pen Style (Effect when Width is 1)
  • Point Frame Pixel Width
  • Point Pixel Radius
  • Point Style
Set the style and color for AVL points that appear on the map when the corresponding record is highlighted in the Itinerary/AVL grid.

Highlighted Grid > For Event > Actual Arrive

Highlighted Grid > For Event > Auto Arrive

Both types of events have the following properties:

  • Label Back Color
  • Label Back Mode
  • Label Enabled
  • Label Text Color
  • Label Text Size
  • Point Filling Color
  • Point Filling Style
  • Point Frame Color
  • Point Frame Pen Style (Effect when Width is 1)

Set the style and color of Actual and Auto Arrive events, for example, Arrive, that appear on the map when the corresponding record is highlighted in the Itinerary/AVL grid.

Set the style and color of the radius of Arrive events, for example, Arrive, that appear on the map when the corresponding record is highlighted in the Itinerary/AVL grid.

Determine the label and text colors for the latest AVL reports that appear on the map. Set text size and line pixel width and style as well.

For the latest AVL next event points on the map, determine label and point styles and colors.

To enable the next event label, set the Label Enabled to Yes.

For the latest AVL previous event points on the map, determine label and point styles and colors.

To enable the previous event label, set Label Enabled to Yes.

Map Zoom Default Margin (M) This value determines the margin on the map (in meters) when displaying two or more points. That is, it keeps the points you are viewing a certain distance from the edge of the map.
On Time Status > Early Color If viewing the runs on the map in real-time Last AVL mode, set the color of the vehicle icon to show if the vehicle is running early. The Early time threshold is based on the PASS Tolerance - Pickup Early system property of the next unperformed event.
On Time Status > Late Color If viewing the runs on the map in real-time Last AVL mode, set the color of the vehicle icon to show if the vehicle is running late. The Late time threshold is based on the PASS Tolerance - Pickup Late system property of the next unperformed event.
Route > Line Color Set the line color for routes that are shown on the map.
Route > Line Pixel Width Set the line width for routes that are shown on the map.
Run/Veh and Avl refresh rate (sec) Set the refresh rate for the map when viewing in the real-time Last AVL mode. The recommended setting is three minutes or higher.
Trace > Map Trace AVL has the following properties:
  • Point Filling Color
  • Point Filling Style
  • Point Frame Color
  • Point Frame Pen Style (Effect When Width is 1)
  • Point Frame Pixel Width
  • Point Pixel Radius
  • Point Style
Set the point style for the AVL trace.

Set the label style for AVL traces. Be sure to set the property to Yes to enable the trace labels.

Set the line color, width, and style of the trace.
Turn List has the following properties:

Set the line color and width of the turn list.
