Searching for Closest Client Addresses

You can search for client addresses within close proximity of a specified address.

Before you begin

The appropriate sign-up period should be selected and the Find Closest Wizard must be open.

Procedure

  1. Geocode a point near which to perform the search.
Geocoded addresses typically appear in black text. Addresses that require geocoding appear in red.
To copy a geocoded point in an active window into the Find Closest Wizard dialog box, click the Retrieve Address button:
Empty window (as found on a computer screen).
If the map is open, a yellow dot appears to confirm that the search point has been geocoded.
  2. In the Find Closest Wizard toolbar, in the drop-down list, click Clients.
  3. Select Radius and type the distance to search around the geocoded point.
  4. Optional: Select Limit and type the maximum number of results to show.
The default maximum is 200 search results. The found client addresses are the ones closest to the search point.
  5. Click an Address Type.
Clicking All returns all client address types, but you can narrow your search to a specific client address type. For example, Client Home.
Address types are defined in ancillary data by a system administrator.
  6. Optional: In the Provider list, select providers that have been assigned to clients.
Providers are defined in ancillary data by a system administrator. Clients are assigned to specific providers in Client Registration (Task > Clients), on the Providers tab.
  7. Click the Find button:
    Binoculars.
The system generates a list of client addresses that meet the defined search criteria.
