Setting User-Defined Properties

User-defined properties are property settings that are specific to a particular transit site.

This includes how the system should handle things like and how frequently screens are refreshed and how many events should be displayed in the Schedule Booking Wizard.

User-defined properties are set on a user-by-user basis, and some user-defined properties are screen-specific. For example, you will only find Booking Screen properties if you are in Trip Booking when access the Properties dialog box. See specific sections in the guide for descriptions of related user-defined properties.

Procedure

  1. Open the screen for which you want to change property settings.
    Most screens have some screen-specific settings. Tools, Formats, Map, and Workstation settings can be accessed without opening a specific screen.
  2. Click File > Properties.
  3. Navigate to the property to be set.
  4. Update the property as needed.
  5. Add a Comment to inform other users about preferred or related settings.
  6. Optional: Click Default to use the original property setting.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Click OK.
