Defining System Properties

System properties are defined globally for all users.

About this task

Settings defined here are shared by all users working on a network.

Some data stored here, such as database names and file locations, should not be changed. A comment box is provided so that users can include additional information about the settings. The comment box is empty by default.

You can specify which users can change global system properties using security permission keys in the Trapeze6 Client Shell.

A system property change on one workstation affects every workstation.

Procedure

  1. In the Trapeze4 Workstation, click Tools > System Properties.
    The Properties dialog box appears. Profile and System tabs are visible. Note that some of the options in the dialog box do not apply to PASS.
  2. Navigate to the property to be set.
  3. Update the property as needed.
  4. Add a Comment to inform other users about preferred or related settings.
  5. Optional: Click Default to use the original property setting.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click OK.
