Trip Administration Toolbar

When the bookings you want are shown in the Trip Administration grid, there are several commands you can perform.

For each command, highlight the booking(s) you want in the grid and click the appropriate button in the toolbar OR select the command from the Trip Admin menu.

To select all the trips on the grid, click the top cell on the marker column. The current row number selected and the number of trips generated appears on the right section of the status bar.

Command Access Description
Show Itinerary Large green I on columns of text. Opens Schedule Editor to show you the run itinerary of the highlighted booking.

This command is also available from the Trip Admin menu as Run Itinerary.

Show Driver/Vehicle Information Blue and red bus. Opens the Driver/Vehicle Information dialog box.
Info Question mark. Opens the Client/Booking Info dialog box.
Calendar Open book with the number 1 on the left page and the number 2 on the right page. Opens the calendar to display the days of the current month.
Edit Booking Pencil and three dots. Shows the original booking in Trip Booking.
Activate Trip Admin menu

Opens the Subscription Change Wizard dialog box for the selected trips so that the subscription master records can be activated for template or live bookings.

You can open the Activate Booking dialog box from previous versions in the following ways:
  • Press and hold the CTRL key while clicking Activate.
  • Select a range of trips that is too large for the Subscription Change Wizard to activate, and then click Activate.
Note: The Activate Booking dialog box provides fewer options than the Subscription Change Wizard dialog box.
Cancel/Uncancel Diskette with a red X crossed over it. Shows the Select Cancel Status dialog box.
Delete A stylistic X. Permanently deletes a booking.

Use only for deleting template and live bookings when editing master subscription records.

Clear Piece of paper with a folded top right corner. Resets all filters in Trip Administration to their default values.
Schedule/Reschedule Three times: 1:07, 1:10, and 1:40. Opens the Schedule Booking Wizard to allow you to schedule or reschedule a booking.
Unschedule Trip Admin menu Unschedules a scheduled booking.
Edit Schedule Trip Admin menu Shows, in Schedule Editor, all bookings (scheduled, unscheduled, canceled) for the client for the selected schedule or specified date.
Client Eligibility Rules Piece of paper with a pin in it. Shows the Client Eligibility Info dialog box to show all eligibility conditions assigned to the client.
Edit Booking Activity Trip Admin menu Opens the Edit Booking Activity dialog box to edit the leg details of a booking.

You can add a passenger or change a fare type for a trip leg.

Lock Booking Trip Admin menu

Prevents a selected booking from being rescheduled during a batch schedule.

Locked bookings can be identified by a specific color. To review color setting properties, click File > Properties and, on the Tools tab, click Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Locked Booking Color.

Locked bookings can still be rescheduled using the Schedule Booking Wizard.

Unlock Booking Trip Admin menu Removes the lock on a locked booking to allow it to be rescheduled during a batch schedule.
Freeze Event Trip Admin menu

Once a trip is scheduled, Freeze Event maintains the position of the trip events (pick-up and drop-off) on the run.

No event can be inserted between these two events and they cannot be moved to another run.

A frozen trip can be identified by a specific color in Trip Administration and Schedule Editor. To review color setting properties, click File > Properties and, on the Tools tab, click Schedule Editor > Color Settings > Frozen Event Color.

Unfreeze Event Trip Admin menu Removes the freeze status of frozen events.
Batch Trip Admin menu Batch schedule all or selected trips for a specific template or live schedule.

Select the Schedule check box and select a schedule before you use this command.

Generate CTM Batch File Trip Admin menu

Allows you to select the data that is sent to the Batch tab of the Itinerary Planning screen in INFO-Agent.

This feature allows you to compare PASS scheduling to CTM Info scheduling. You can save the results as an XML file, and/or send the information to a text file. You can also create a detailed description of the trip.

Ivr Trip Trip Admin menu (For sites using PASS-IVR) Opens the Trip Callout dialog box.
Ivr Announcement Trip Admin menu (For sites using PASS-IVR) Allows you to choose an IVR message.
Display Computer monitor with three dots on it. Highlights the origin (PU) and destination (DO) of the selected trip on the system map.
Follow Two footprints. Shows on the map the origin and destination of any booking you highlight. Available only when the Display button is pressed and the system map is shown.
Zoom Magnifying glass. When the Display button is pressed and the system map is shown, zooms to the origin and destination of the selected booking on the system map.
Insert Tracker Action Pencil in hand writing in a book. Inserts a comment about a selected event.

It can be accessed from Trip Administration, Schedule Editor, and Dispatching.

Browse Tracker Action Paper emerging from rectangular box. Allows you to review all actions associated with a selected booking, run, or client.

This tool also allows you to type additional comments.

Trip Exclusion Trip Admin menu Prevents a booking from being copied for future trips.
Change Booking Trip Admin menu Allows you to edit booking times, purpose, and comments for one or more trips in Trip Administration
Link Trips Linked chain. Groups together a number of selected trips for a single client by assigning a common Itinerary ID number to each trip.
Unlink Trips Broken chain link. Breaks the link between linked trips.
Cut Trip Admin menu Allows you to copy trips to a future date or time and simultaneously cancel the original trip.
Copy Trips Trip Admin menu Allows you to copy trips to a future date or time.

Trips used in the copy activity are not effected in any way.

Paste Trip Admin menu Used with the Cut and Copy commands, this command allows you to duplicate trips that will occur at a future date or time.
Print Printer. Exports booking records from the Trip Administration grid into a text file or Microsoft Excel file.

You can then save or print the file.

Customize Grid Four lines and three check marks. Show, hide, or rearrange columns in the Trip Administration grid.
Search Location Equals sign and binoculars.

Used with the Location search filter to enhance the search for common locations.

Before using the Location filter, choose one of the two search methods:
  • An exact search for location ID. This is the default search method.
  • A general search that does not look for location ID but rather address name.

    For example, if you type General Hospital, trips to/from this location including both client and location addresses are generated.

View Complaints Magnifying glass over a paper with red writing on it. If PASS is integrated with Trapeze COM at your transit site, this command lets you view and add feedback for a booking.
