Setting Up TpNet.ini

Before Trip Broker can be used, the TpNet.ini file must be set up.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to <path>\TP4\TpNet.ini.SAMPLE.
  2. Open the file for editing using a text editor.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the file.
  4. Comment out the following line using a number sign (#), or delete it:
    CTMSRV.NAME MACHINENAME localhost 11002 tcp
  5. Edit the following line to replace and provide the following information:
    SCHSRV.NAME MACHINENAME localhost 11001 tcp
    1. Replace NAME with the name of your Trip Broker instance.
    2. Replace MACHINENAME with the name of the computer.
      This value can be obtained by clicking Start > Control Panel > System. Contact a system administrator for assistance.
  6. Save and close the file.
  7. Rename the file to TpNet.ini.
  8. In the Trapeze4 Workstation:
    1. Ensure that the file and its path are correctly referenced in Tools > System Properties, on the System tab, under Networking > TpNet Address File.
    2. Ensure that the SCHSRV.NAME is correctly referenced in Tools > System Properties, on the Profile tab, under Scheduling Server > Network Address.
