Editing Supplementary Fields

You can modify supplementary fields using the options provided you have Write access.

Warning: Editing supplementary data should be done with extreme caution since doing so may corrupt the data. For the protection of your data, the Read/Write check box, which is in the Advanced Options frame for user-defined fields, is not activated.

When you click Advanced in the Supp. Field Definition dialog box, the Advanced Options frame is added to the bottom of the dialog box. If the Read/Write check box is activated and selected, you can edit the fields. If the check box is not activated and is labelled as Write only, you only have Read access.

You can perform any of the following steps as necessary:

  1. If there are some supplementary data fields that you like to maintain but do not wish to display on a screen, select the Hide check box in the Advanced Options frame.
  2. If the field is required to complete the data or for a process to continue, select the Required check box.
