Generating Timed Connections Using Near Nodes

This method can create transfers between nodes that have the same or different node IDs and between nodes and stops that fall within a specified radius on the map.

It is important that you geocode the nodes before applying this option.

  2. In the From Lines frame, select the lines from which the trips start.
  3. Optional: To choose all lines, click All.
  4. In the To Lines frame, select the lines to which transfers end.
  5. Optional: To choose all lines, click All.To deselect all lines, click None for both From Lines and To Lines.
  6. Click Refresh.
The Nodes frame displays all the common node/stops for the selected lines.
  7. Press CTRL and in the Nodes frame, highlight each node at which a transfer is to be created.
  8. Perform any of the following steps as required:
    • To create transfers at all common nodes, click All.
    • To clear your selections, click None.

  9. In the Radius field, type a distance value or leave the value set by default.
  10. Optional: Select the Nodes Only check box to exclude stops that are not nodes.
  11. Click Generate.
The system uses each node of the selected lines as the center of the search radius. All possible transfers between these nodes and other stops (or only between other nodes if the Nodes only check box is selected) are generated.
