Managing Speed Types

A speed type represents a road type that requires a different speed than other road types. Default speed types are Freeways, Arterial, Collectors and Residential.

Speed types can be created to be associated with existing speed types. For example, a speed type called FreewaysUnderConstruction can be associated with the Freeways speed type. When the construction is finished, the road can be restored to the Freeways speed type.

The speeds that different vehicle classes travel at can be specified for selected speed types.
