Importing From Hand-Held Files

For Citrix users who cannot import check data directly from a handheld computer, the file containing the check data must be moved from the hand-held computer to the Trapeze4 system.

For information about this procedure, consult your system administrator or Trapeze representative.

If the file containing the check data is placed on your system, you can import it into Ridership Analysis.

  1. Do one of the following steps:
    • Click Ridership > Import Data > Handheld.
    • Click the Import Data from Handheld button: Import Data from Handheld button.
    The Import Hand Held Data dialog box appears.
  2. Click Import Handheld File.
    The Open dialog box appears.
  3. Browse to the tpride.dat and/or tppoint.dat file on your computer, and then click Open.
    A message appears that displays the import status of trips (checked or unchecked).
  4. Click OK.

The file is imported into the system. In the Ridership Analysis screen, the check data is available for viewing, editing, and running reports. The system generates the total passenger miles for each trip.
