About Location Analysis Requirements
Location Analysis is similar to Demographic Analysis. Instead of polygons, the geographic elements are point locations.
Like Demographic Analysis, Location Analysis uses geographic and attribute data. With Location Analysis, it is possible to determine the number of locations (sites) within the proximity of a route, group of routes, temporary route, a radius around a point or inside of a boundary, or group of polygons. This data may contain Standard Industrialization Codes (SIC) that allow you to filter information under certain headings and subgroups. Examples of SIC Descriptions are:
- Businesses
- Residential Building Contractors
Like other Trapeze4 applications, PLAN Spatial Analysis is an open system that is ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) compliant. As such, as new demographic or location data becomes available, it can be used readily with little data integration effort.
Polygons that can be used with Spatial Analysis include Zip Codes, Traffic Analysis Zones, and Minor Civil Divisions.
