Location Analysis
Location Analysis uses geographic and attribute data to determine the number of locations that are within the proximity of routes and inside or outside of polygons.
You can perform Location analysis using the following features:
- Location tab in the PLAN Options dialog box,
which allows you to perform simple queries such as:
- Determine which stops in a certain neighborhood have amenities such as shelters, telephones, or trash receptacles.
- Locate schools that are within walking distance of a planned fixed route.
- Point Location Query is a powerful and robust tool that allows you to retrieve a
substantial amount of information that is found in the Trapeze database. It provides you
with the flexibility to execute complex queries by drawing from data that is stored in any
table, and then applying a spatial filter to the query. For example, you could use Point
Location Query to:
- Create client mailing lists
- Examine itinerary data generated from Trapeze INFO-Web to analyze which areas have heavily-accessed routes or areas where there is a demand for routes.
