About APC Gateway

APC Gateway is a configurable integration service that performs data exchange between Trapeze PLAN and third party Automated Passenger Count (APC) and fare count systems.

It extracts real-time or flat file data such as APC, fare box or handheld ride or point check data from third party systems and transfers the data into PLAN.

Given the inherent inaccuracy of APC and fare count data, APC Gateway is designed to:

Implement a data transformation service including data validation and cleaning.
Store inaccurate data in a holding database.
Load transformed data into Trapeze database.
Log each received message and its transformation state.

The APC Gateway features a hold database that stores invalid data and a browser based user interface that allows you to review rejected data.

The user interface allows system administrators to:

View “flagged” data elements during and after the transformation.
Manually alter the process, if necessary.
Create reports on records that have been modified, including both their initial and final state.
