About Schedule Import

The Schedule Import function allows you to import or update schedule data in OPS. The schedule data source can be Trapeze FX/BB or GIRO HASTUS.

The schedule data can contains runs, and, optionally, rosters, blocks, trips, and nodes. It is the basis for many fixed route bidding, dispatching, and timekeeping operations.

Schedule import procedures are performed in two screens:
Schedule Import
(main screen) Prepare bidding for a future sign up period.
OPS Sign-Up Management
Update schedule data for a sign-up period currently in progress using the Mid Sign Up Import functionality.

Before importing schedule data, make sure that the appropriate properties, security permissions, and ancillary data have been configured. For example, if importing from Trapeze FX, check that run types and line groups for the runs have been configured. If importing from BlockBuster, confirm that the XML file to map the source data into the appropriate OPS fields is up-to-date. (This file is saved in the OPS Client Files screen.) If importing from HASTUS, ensure the schedule files are located in the folder specified in the properties.

Imported data also can be viewed in the OPS Travels screen. OPS Travels allows you to review node-to-node information for specific dates and times.
