Standard Toolbar Options

The following table describes the commands in the COM standard toolbar:

Command Name Icon Description
Launchpad Launchpad button

Shows the Launchpad pane on the left section of the screen. The pane contains the buttons for opening screens in the workspace. You can choose which buttons to place on the pane using the Menus tab of the Extensions dialog box. (This is typically performed by a Trapeze representative or your system administrator.)

New New button Opens new reports. To open existing reports, use the Reports menu.
Open Open button Opens files such as reports.
Save Save button Saves data changes in the screen.
Print Print button Prints the selected data.

Print Preview

Print Preview button Shows a preview on the screen of how the printed information would appear.
Cut Cut button Copies and removes the selected text from the screen.

Copy

Copy button Copies the selected text. Only visible columns are copied. Headings can also be copied.
Paste Paste button Pastes a selection previously cut or copied.
Find Find button Finds the specified text.
Refresh Refresh button Updates data in the screen.
Context Context button Opens the Context dialog box where you can specify the data to show in the screen.
Add New Add New button Adds a new record.
Edit Edit icon Launches the selected record into Edit mode.
Delete Delete icon Deletes the selected record.
Customize Grid Customize Grid button Opens the Customize dialog box where you can hide and show fields and change screen formatting.
First First icon Highlights the first record in the list.
Last Last icon Highlights the last record in the list.

Sort

Sort button Shows the current data sort order and allows you to sort data by values in multiple columns.
Sort Ascending Sort Ascending button Sorts data records in ascending order by values in the selected column.
Sort Descending Sort Descending button Sorts data records in descending order by values in the selected column.
No Sort No Sort button Restores the system default sort order for data in the grid.
Zoom In Zoom In icon Increases the print size.
Zoom Out Zoom Out icon Decreases the print size.
Zoom 100% Zoom 100% icon Restores the screen to the print size set as the default.
