Notification - Delivery Properties
The following table describes the Notification properties that control the COM email messages sent and when they are sent.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| If selected, the notification delivery is activated. | |
| If selected, the notification items to be delivered by email are managed or polled. | |
| Amount of time in seconds between two consecutive database polls to look for maturing notification items to be delivered by email. This is set to 10 seconds by default. | |
| Maximum number of records to fetch at any given poll. A value of 0 means an unlimited number. | |
| Location of the temporary folder where email attachments are stored. | |
| If selected, Notification Waiting Area records with common Alert IDs are grouped together upon delivery. Email addresses are arranged in batches into a single comma-separated list on the Bcc field. The MessageBody is used to differentiate between Emails and SMS messages that are delivered through the Email Gateway. (The messages are grouped separately since the message content may be different.) | |
| Maximum number of records to send in an email message when alert group is activated. Note that this value should never be less than 1. A value of 1 would effectively disable alert grouping. This is the default. The minimum value is 1. | |
| Number of days that the email delivery service should look back when searching for notifications with dat files that have to be deleted. Notifications with a delivery date before this look back period will not have their dat files purged. For example, a value of 2 means that notifications with a delivery date of the day before are checked. A value of 0 means that all notifications are checked, the look back is ignored. The default is 0. | |
