Designating Stops as Transfers on Selected Lines
A designation flag on a stop means that the stop can be used as a method of creating transfers automatically.
Typically, when a bus stop record is created, the stop is classified as a transfer: Preferred or Designated, and is selected on the More tab in the Bus Stops screen. This means that the stop can be used when creating a transfer that is used in trip planning.
This tool can be used if transfers already exist and you want to update the stops with the ‘flags’ to allow future automatic generation of transfers based on these flags.
- On the Tools tab, select an agency and sign-up period from the fields beside the screen toolbar. All lines for the selected agency and sign-up period are displayed in the Line Context pane.
-
On the Actions pane, select the Set Destination Flags check box. Additional fields appear in the lower section of the Actions pane.
By default, the From Selected Lines and To Selected Lines check boxes are selected for existing transfers.
- Optional:
To set destination flags for existing transfers of the selected
set of lines only:
- From or To, make sure only the appropriate check box remains selected.
- To designate the stops on the selected lines as transfers, leave the Transfer Field selected.
- To designate the stops as Preferred transfers, select the Preferred Field check box.
- In the Line Context pane, select the lines whose stops you want to designate as transfers. Alternatively, to select all lines, click All.
