About Security

To specify whether users must log in using names and passwords, and to specify which functionality they can access, you can set up security using the Trapeze6 Client shell.

In the Trapeze6 Client shell, you can create users and specify which screens and functionality they can access. You can also create user groups with permission to use particular functionality, and assign users to these groups with the permissions that they require for their job functions. Users inherit the permissions of the user groups to which they belong.

You can also set password policies for the system. For example, you could specify that passwords must contain at least one letter and one number, include at least 6 characters, and be changed every 90 days.
