COM Security Keys

The COM security keys are tasks users in the system can be given access to or restricted from.

Key Description
Access All Feedback For Their Departments

Ability to see any feedback for the department to which the investigator is assigned.

Access Client Data Ability to add/change or delete client data.
Access Private Fields Ability to add/change or delete fields that are marked Private in the Screen Information screen.
Access Unhide Option Ability to display fields or options that have been hidden.

To hide an option, use the Design Mode function.

Access Workspace Menu Ability to open the workspace menu.
Access to COM Investigator screen Ability to add/change or delete fields in the COM Investigator screen.
Access to COM Representative screen Ability to add/change or delete fields in the COM Representative screen.
Add Action Ability to add data in the Action pane.
Add Complaint Ability to add data in the Complaint field.
Add Subject Attachments Ability to add attachments to a Feedback subject.

Change Email Field List Ability to change data in the Email fields.
Close Subject Ability to close a feedback.

The Data Provider security keys have been added for the service methods created to support incident integration between OPS and COM.

Delete Action Ability to delete data in the Action pane.
Delete Complaint Ability to delete data in the Complaint field.
Design Mode Ability to use Design Mode feature.
E-mail Attachments Ability to add attachments to email messages.
Edit Action* Ability to edit data in the Action pane.
Edit Active Action* Ability to edit data in the Action pane only if the Active check box is selected. The action must be current.
Edit Inactive Action*

Ability to edit data in the Action pane of actions that are inactive. The Active check box is clear.

* The three permission keys marked with an asterisk determine if you can edit active or inactive Actions. The Edit Action key must be set to “grant” in order for the two other keys to be applied.

Edit All feedback From Find Feedback Dialog

Ability to edit all feedback (regardless of Closed status) using the Find Feedback dialog box.

Edit Closed Subject Ability to edit subject that has been marked closed. (Closed check box has been selected.)
Edit Complaint Ability to edit data in the Complaint field.
Edit Feedback from Find Feedback Dialog Ability to edit feedback (open only) using the Find Feedback dialog box.
Edit Form Letter Ability to edit a form letter in the preview window before printing or spooling.
Edit Unclosed Feedback from COM Representative Screen Ability to edit feedback that has not been closed in the COM Representative screen.
Email Complaints Ability to send data on complaints by email.
Forward Action Ability to forward an action, for example, to another investigator.
Group Security Not used.
Internal Investigator Not used.
Ignore Read Only Flags Ability to edit the values in fields that have been marked IsReadOnly in the Screen Information screen.
Investigation Tool Ability to add/change or delete data in the Investigation Tool screen.
Open Subject Attachments Ability to read an attachment to a Feedback subject.
Override Feedback Responsibility Ability to override the associations created in the Feedback Responsibilities screen when saving feedback. To force checking feedback responsibilities, set the permission to Deny.
Overwrite Using Investigator Tool Ability to overwrite data using the Investigator Tool.
Re-open Closed Subject Ability to re-open closed Subjects in the COM Investigator screen.
Remove Subject Attachment Ability to delete an attachment to a Feedback subject.
Run Complaint Report Ability to generate a Complaint report.
Save Subject Attachments Ability to save an attachment to a Feedback subject.
Use Ctrl-Enter for Client Information Ability to use the CTRL+ Enter keys while adding/changing or deleting Client information.
Use Ctrl-Enter for Client Information Ability to read all Departments ancillary data.
View All Divisions (Administrators) Ability to read all Divisions ancillary data.
View All Divisions (FX-OPS) Ability to read all Divisions ancillary data.
