Adding Items to Menus and the Launchpad

You can specify the items in the Task, Reports, Ancillary, and Tools menus, and in the Launchpad.

Be aware that changes to the menu and launchpad may have unintended consequences.
  1. Click Tools > Extensions.
    On the Menus tab, the Extended Commands frame lists screens or reports that you can add to the menus or Launchpad. The Menus and Launchpad frame shows folders which represent menus and the Launchpad.
  2. To add one or more items to a menu or the Launchpad, do one of the following steps:
    • Drag the item from the Extended Commands frame to the folder in the Menus and Launchpad frame where you want it to appear.
    • In the Extended Commands frame, click the item you want to add. In the Menus and Launchpad frame, click the folder where you want it to appear, and then click Insert.
      Note: If menu items are not added to a menu, the menu remains empty and you cannot access screens from it.

You can add lines, which are called separators, between items in menus. You cannot add lines between items in the Launchpad.

  1. Click Tools > Extensions.
  2. Click the item above which you want to add a line, and then click Separ.

    A line and the label, Separator appears above the selected item.
