About Password Policies

Password policies the system must enforce can be defined in the Properties screen.

Password policies can contain restrictions and rules such as the following:
  • The number and types of characters that passwords can include.
  • The frequency with which users must change their passwords.
  • Whether users can change their passwords to previously used passwords.
  • Whether the system enforces password policies each time a user logs in.

Password policies are set using system properties.
