About the CTM Server
All itinerary searches from the user are submitted to the CTM Server, which processes itinerary searches using data in the cache.
The cache contains the sign-up period or markup's schedule data. The search results are then sent back to the user and displayed after the system goes to the database and fills in specific details: stop names, line names, pattern information, map display information.
The CTM Server machine needs adequate memory, processing speed, and disk storage. The performance of Trip Planning for all users depends on the resources of the CTM Server machine, the database server, and the network connectivity.
