About Configuring the System for INFO-Agent

INFO-Agent is configured using either CTM Server or CTM Engine.

If you use INFO-Agent as the trip planning system, you can use one of the following services to plan and analyze trips:
CTM Server
Used at transit sites that consist of only one agency.
CTM Engine
Used at transit sites that are composed of multiple agencies.

There are three separate scenarios for how to configure PASS-IPA with INFO-Agent. The best option depends on your circumstances:
  • If using a single database and INFO supports only one agency, you can use CTM Server
  • If using a single database and INFO supports bids for more than one agency, you must use CTM Engine
  • If using a separate database for PASS and INFO, you should use CTM Engine with a server farm

The choice of solution generator (found at Tools/Trace Options/Info/Solution Generator), and configuration of many of the associated context properties and ancillary data, will be different depending on which of these three options you choose.
