Fast Costing is enabled in either the Schedule Parameter and Violation
Sets screen or the Context Properties screen.
About this task
When configuring Fast Costing, keep in mind that if the
triangulation settings (speed-by time and speed-by distance factors) are too high, too many
unsuitable candidate solutions may be generated. When these candidate solutions are re-costed,
they may be inadequate depending on the violation set applied; however, if the triangulation
speed settings are too low, valid candidate solutions may be overlooked because they were
ruled out before the re-costing (street-routing) stage.
