Setting Up Bump Runs

Bump runs are temporary runs used to hold trips until they can be scheduled to a suitable run.

Before you begin

Runs must be open.

Procedure

  1. Create a new run or select an existing run.
  2. On the Detail tab, do the following:
    1. Type a Run Name for the bump run.
    2. In the Type list, click Clipboard.
    3. Type the From Time (start time) from which the bump run can be used.
    4. Type the To Time (end time) after which the bump run can no longer be used.
    5. In the Bump Rule list, click Allow Bumping To and From this run.
  3. On the Supplementary tab, do the following
    1. Select the Is Bump Run check box.
    2. Type the number of Max Trips that the bump run can hold.
    3. Type the Max Provider Cost that the bump run can accommodate.
    4. Type the number of Overdraft Trips that the bump run can hold in addition to the Max Trips.
    5. Type the Overdraft Provider Cost that the bump run will allow on top of the Max Provider Cost.
  4. Optional: On the Detail tab, select a Bump Rule from the drop-down list.
  5. Click the Save button:
