About Provider Parameter Values
Using Sched Multi Parameters ancillary data you can set parameters that override PASS system property values for specific providers.
With some parameters, you can override property values for specific dates and funding sources. However, you cannot override all property values for dates and funding sources. For example, you cannot set a different average speed for each funding source, since vehicle speed does not change based on funding source.
The system applies parameter values for each parameter name in the order defined in the Param Order field. For example, if you set an average speed for a provider for a specific date and an average speed for the same provider that applies to all dates, the system uses the parameter value that has the lowest value in the Param Order field.
If a parameter is made dependent on an invalid combination of Sched Multi Parameters settings, an error message appears and the Sched Multi Parameters record is ignored if you try to declare a parameter value to be dependent on a combination of settings not in the list. In addition, the Weekday and SchTypeId fields are ignored. If the fields are set a warning message appears. The values for Weekday and SchTypeId will always be considered zeroes (the dependent value will apply to all Weekdays and Schedule Types).
The provider-specific SchedEarly and SchedLate windows only apply when the SearchW option is checked in the Schedule Booking Wizard. This typically happens when a new booking is first created and scheduled.
Sched Multi Parameters are not used automatically unless the trip is scheduled using the Schedule Booking Wizard. Only single trips will use Sched Multi Parameters. If multiple trips are being scheduled at the same time in Schedule Booking Wizard, Sched Multi Parameters are ignored.
Sched Multi Parameters can also be used when dragging bookings and dropping them into new runs in Schedule Editor. To use this feature, the following Schedule Server switch must be enabled: .
By design, Schedule Server only allows for certain combinations of Sched Multi Parameters settings to influence particular parameters. The following table shows available parameters and indicates whether you can specify values for providers, dates, funding sources, or paraservices to override PASS system property values.

About Max OBT
- In PASS-CT, the Max OBT can be set by Provider, by Funding Source or by a combination of Provider and Funding Source (and Paraservice).
- This Max OBT takes precedence over the global MaxOBT property setting in the Trapeze4 Workstation under , on the Profile tab, under .
- The Provider is based on the Provider assigned to the booking, not on the Provider
assigned to the run.
For example, if a booking assigned to Provider A is forced onto a run that is assigned Provider B, the MaxOBT for that booking will still be based on the MaxOBT for Provider A. A provider violation would also show on that booking's events.
- If is not set (that is, the booking has no provider on the booking record), the booking will not inherit the provider from the run. It is based only on the ProviderId stamped on the booking record.
- The MaxOBT factors are combined with the global MaxOBT or MaxOBT by provider.
- The MaxOBT factors are checked first and then the global or provider MaxOBT value is checked.
- Bookings must pass the MaxOBT factors test AND the MaxOBT by provider test (or if that MaxOBT by Provider is not set or the booking has no provider then it must pass the MaxOBT global test).
