About Zonal Manager

PASS-CT enables coordinated service using transfer points for passengers traveling between zones, which are created in PASS as polygons.

Passengers who begin their journey with a provider in one polygon can be dropped at a location accessible to a provider responsible for service in a neighboring polygon. The second provider can then transport the passenger to their destination.

There are two principal Zonal Management approaches available:
Zonal Timetable
For Zonal Timetable rules, you specify run (route) restrictions. For example, from a polygon (or specific location)/time to a polygon (or specific location)/time. That is, the run can only travel between polygon A on or after the specified time and polygon B on or before the specified time. Otherwise, a RAR violation occurs. This is a trip restriction that is associated with a run. Zonal rules are independent of any paraservice types.
Paraservice Area Rules
The trip may not be possible if it has been assigned a paraservice type which is attached to a paraservice area rule. For example, restrictions can be defined so that for travel between polygon A and B, you can only leave polygon A on or after the specified time and must arrive at polygon B on or before the specified time. Otherwise, a SAR (service area rule) violation occurs.
