Monitoring Messages in MDT Center

The MDT Center is a utility within the Trapeze4 workstation that displays messages received from a mobile computer such as requests for no-shows, text messages, or emergency messages.

The MDT Center is extremely crucial for most of the communication between dispatch and drivers. All confirmations for no-shows, manually logging in or out (as seen in Logging On and Off Drivers (Using MDT Center)), and bringing up client information are done from this screen.

The utility can be made real time for dispatchers who are only working with routes covered by vehicles with mobile computers, so that when a message is received from a mobile computer, the MDT Center opens.

Dispatchers can perform the following actions from the MDT Center:

• Manually log vehicles on or off.
• Send text or canned messages.
• Filter messages by vehicle or run group.
• View message histories.
• Cancel or No Show a trip as per driver requests.
• View the Client Info dialog box.
• Jump to the Run Itinerary screen.
• Jump to the Client Itinerary screen.
