Installing PASS-MON and FLEX-MON
Procedure
- In your PASS-MON or FLEX-MON folder, rename the Bin folder to BinMDT-old.
- Create a new BinMDT folder.
- Unzip the install files into the new BinMDT folder.

Run DBEdit with BinMDT/TpMdtGP.dbd. Refer to the PASS System Administrator and User Guide for more information on using DbEdit.
If installing PASS-MON with hardware from Siemens VDO Automotive AG, use TpMdtRA.dbd. Please consult your Trapeze representative for more information.

Run the following query: InsertMdtTrackerCodes.sql
If errors occur, run queries such as the following examples: UpdateMdtMsgLog
Mdt2_DropIdxMdtManifestByOrder (for MDTServer 2 only) Contact your Trapeze representative for more information.

In the Trapeze4 Workstation, click .
The Properties dialog box appears.
- On the Profile tab, select Pass Scheduling.

Change the following properties:
EvOrder Max Value: Set to 99,999,999 if not performed before the upgrade.
Arrive Should Set: Set to Both or to another value as advised by your Trapeze representative. Perform Should Set: Set to Both or to another value as advised by your Trapeze representative. Incidents: Create for No Shows: Set to Yes.
Incidents: Create for Reordered: Set to Yes.
Incidents: Create for Nodes: Set to Yes (if you also use Trapeze FLEX and the property is applicable). Incidents: Create for Stops: Set to Yes (if you also use Trapeze FLEX and the property is applicable).
- Close the Schedule Server and open it again.
- In the BinMDT folder, double click _MdtSel.bat and choose the vendor of your mobile computer hardware.

Configure the MDT Server:
- Check Configuration settings to point to the correct ODBC source.
- Check and set MDT Interface Settings.
- Check and set Server properties. If you are upgrading, check that they are the same as before.
- Check and set the Server Property: Manifest Tab/Ignore Pending Schedule. If the Ignore Pending Messages property is set to Yes, then you must set the Ignore Pending Schedule with a From and To time. You can use from 0:00 to 24:00.
- (If using XML) Check or set new speed and odometer formats in the MDT Interface properties for XML. The Speed format should be set to miles per second (M/S) and the Odometer format to meters; however, these may vary depending on your mobile computer hardware vendor.
- Set up the login for the MDT Server.
- (For new installations of PASS-MON and FLEX-MON) When creating the ancillary data for Pass Types, Space Types, and Fare Types, make sure to set the Code field to work with your mobile computer hardware.
