Adding Run Types

The run types are defined in the Run Types ancillary data screen. These must be defined before you can runcut.

Note: Any Run run type that appears by default on the screen refers to all kinds of run types.
  1. In the Navigator, click Run Types: Run Types button

  2. Perform one of the following steps:
    • On the screen toolbar, click Add New: Add New button

      A new row marked with an asterisk is added to the grid, while the previous bottom row is marked with a pencil icon.

    • Click anywhere on the row marked with an asterisk at the bottom of the grid.
  3. In the Run Type field, type the name of the new run type.
  4. Optional: In the Comments field, type comments about the run type.
  5. In the Run Type # field, type a run type number following your site's run numbering convention.
  6. To create a specific type of run, select any of the following options:
    • For part-time runs, select the checkbox in the P/T column.
    • For all legal runs, select the checkbox in the Legal column.
    • For a run type based on another run type, in the Template Run Type drop-down list, select the appropriate run type.
  7. In the MinPieces and MaxPieces columns, type the minimum and maximum number of pieces. The data you type in these columns become hard rules that cannot be changed.
    When using the template, the system applies sign-up-based parameters.
  8. Optional: If this data is to be copied into Trapeze OPS, type the number of operators who are going be assigned to this run type in the Number of Operators field. If you leave it at 0, the system interprets it as one operator.
  9. To save the record, click another row or click the Save button:
    A message box appears asking if you want to save the record. Click Yes.
