Creating ODBC Connections

Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC) is a standard application programming interface for connecting to different databases using a common language. Each database must communicate with the Trapeze software using an ODBC connection.

With ODBC, you can create a System Data Source Name (DSN) to connect to the database.

To open the ODBC Data Source Administrator from Windows, in the system folder, click Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC). For easy access, create a shortcut to the ODBC executable file.
Note: Make sure to select ODBC Data Sources (32-bit) when setting up an ODBC connection for FX.
