Adding Previously-Defined Comments

Using the comments tab, you can apply previously defined comments to new trips.

  1. On the Trips tab of the Trip Building screen, select the trip to which you want you want to add a comment.
  2. Click theEdit Button: Edit button
    The Edit dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Comments tab.
    The direction of the selected trip appears by default in the Direction drop-down list.

  4. To apply the comment to a whole trip, select the Trip option.
    Alternatively, select the Trip Time option to apply the comment to a specific time. From the drop-down list beside it, select the node associated with the time you want.
  5. In the Comment field, click the ellipsis button: Ellipses button

    The Comment dialog box appears.

  6. Click Add. The Select Comment dialog box appears. with the Comment dialog box remaining open in the background.

  7. From the Type drop-down list in the Select Comment dialog box, select Line to apply the comment to the line in the current context.
    • ClickLine to apply the comment to the line in the current context. In the Line field, the line of the selected trip appears by default.
    • Click Global to apply the comment to all the lines.
  8. In the User Type list, select the appropriate user type.
  9. To apply a previous comment, select a comment abbreviation from the Comments list
  10. Click Assign.
  11. To arrange multiple comments assigned to a trip in a desired sequence in a report, click the Move Up or Move Down buttons in the Comment dialog box as necessary.
  12. Click Close.
  13. On the Comments tab, click Apply.
    The abbreviation of the comment appears in the field in the Pattern or Node column of the selected trip depending on the type of comment you selected.
  14. In the Comment dialog box, Click Close.
