About Blocking Parameters

FX presents two main approaches to blocking trips: linking the trips manually or using the automatic blocking algorithm.

Whether you choose to use the manual or automatic approach, the first step involves setting your blocking parameters based on the requirements of your transit site.

The blocking parameters allow you to set values and costs that help in creating blocks that best serve your requirements. Values are based on the policies and union agreements of your transit site. Costs however can be considered penalties. The lower the value you type, the more likely the system will perform the action. Conversely, the higher the value you type, the less likely the system will perform the action.
